Working for the Local Community

Since it's formation over 20 years ago, Deveron District Age Concern has been there to support and help the local community. We are an independant registered charity (SC007671) for the relief of those in need by reason of age, ill health, disability, financial hardship or other disadvantage.

We provide an important wide range of initial senior citizen information, signposting and support services, local community grants and donations. Despite our name we are not restricted by Age and our services are available to everyone.

Working with local groups such as Banffshire Partnership and Boyndie Trust we are able to provide community services such as our Lunch Club. We also work with the local hospital to provide discharge packs, and other local authorities to provide help for those in need.

Our Shop

There's always a large selection of quality goods on sale in our shop and information services are available on a drop-in or appointment basis.

All donations are gratefully received and all income from the sale of goods after expenses goes back into the local community as grants and donations to deserving causes.

We consider opportunities under our charitable status, whether it be maintenance of village halls, Christmas entertainment in local Sheltered Housing Communities or Talking Newspapers for the blind.

We award grants for the relief of local organisations or groups in need by reason of age, ill health, disability, financial hardship or other disadvantage.
