Small Grants Fund

Supporting local communities and groups

We are always happy to consider with our Small Grants Fund, opportunities under our charitable status, whether it be maintenance of village halls, Christmas entertainment in local Sheltered Housing Communities or Talking newspapers for the blind.

We visit local groups to "spread the word" of our organisation on an increasing basis and to review recipients for our Small Grants Fund. Deveron District Age Concern awards grants of up to £1,000 per application, for the relief of local organisations or groups in need by reason of age, ill-health, disability, financial hardship or other disadvantage.

During the period April 2025 - March 2026 we were delighted to support a wide range of local groups by providing grants to:

  • Banff Primary School Parent Council
  • 1st Banff Girl Guides
  • Banff Hillwalking Group
  • Banff and Macduff in Bloom
  • Doocot View Garden Party
  • Doodlebugs Macduff
  • Institute Hall Portsoy
  • Macrae Court Sheltered Housing
  • Lunch Club Christmas Party
  • Crudie Primary School Parent Council
  • Deveronside Junior Darts Club

We continue with regular monthly contributions to support Enable Deveronside, along with our sponsorship of the Lunch Club at Boyndie. Also, our supply of Discharge Packs to patients on their discharge from Chalmers Hospital. Altogether, this has resulted in around £15,000 of shop income being given back into the local community during April 2025 - March 2026.
