Be part of the team
We have over twenty dedicated volunteers that work in our Macduff shop processing donations and selling a wide range of goods to a new home. Our volunteers are very important for our fund raising, usually working a morning or afternoon rota each week. Without these dedicated volunteers, Deveron Disrict Age Concern would not be able to provide local community grants and support to those in need.
Volunteering is something to be proud of and it is a great way to meet new friends in a fun and relaxing environment. You can be sure that no matter how little you are involved you will be making a big difference to those who need support.
We know that each of our volunteers has their own individual reasons for being part of the team, so we asked them about their volunteering experience with us. Here are the replies we received:

Work PlacementsWe work with the local Community Centre to help young people obtain work placements within the retail setting or for completing Duke of Edinburgh Award Schemes.

- Discount on goods purchases in our shop.
- Yearly volunteers day trip, with lunch.
