Queens Jubilee: Tree Planting at Chalmers Hospital
After feedback from our volunteers and discussions with Chalmers Hospital we decided to plant two trees at the front of the hospital to commemorate the Queens Jubilee. Munroe Landscapes of Macduff offered to install the trees that were purchased from White Lodge Garden Centre. Munro Landscapes also kindly donated a tree.
On 7th June 2022, Mr Andrew Simpson, The Lord-Lieutenant of Banffshire, attended a handover ceremony of the 3 trees, a Rowan, Whitebeam and Beach. Representatives included Fiona Stephen, Location Manager Chalmers Hospital, Linda Stephen for Deveron District Age Concern and William Munroe of Munro Landscapes. A number of Deveron District Age Concern volunteers also attended with hospital representatives.
Slate Plaques were purchased from a local engraver, Merry Maybel, two in the name of Deveron District Age Concern and one for Munro Landscapes who donated the third tree.
