Shop reopening soon!
Published: 8th August, 2020
We are very excited to announce that our charity shop in Macduff will reopen on the 17th August and we look forward to welcoming all of our friends, volunteers and customers back!
Our shop opening hours will change as follows:
To help us maintian our quarantine system, we ask that you do not bring donations on any of the above days. We have assigned seperate days for the drop off any donations, please see below.
DonationsWe are always greatful for all the donations we receive. Income generated from the sale of goods allows us to provide grants and services which benefit and support local deserving community groups and causes.
We have realised that many people have donations sat aside waiting to drop off with us while our doors have been closed and we appreciate that. Due to this, we will be open during the following dates for donation drop off only.
After this period we will be open each week on the following days for donation drop off. We kindly ask that you only bring your donations on the below days. This will help us maintian our quarantine system process in place. Note that on the below days our shop floor is closed.
Keeping your visit as safe as possibleA lot has taken place during our closure in preparation for the reopening of our shop to ensure that our customers, volunteers and staff will be as safe as possible when they visit, work or volunteer with us. We would like to thank all of the volunteers involved in this for all of their hard work.
Deveron District Age Concern has put in place many preventive and safety measures to help ensure your visit is as safe as it can be. Our shop has had a complete overhaul, decorated, new carpet and reorganisation amongst other things. All stock on display in our shop has been through a 72 hour quarantine period and has been cleaned before it is made available for sale. Regular cleaning of our shop and items on sale will take place through the day also.
Secuirty screens have been installed to provide a barrier between volunteers, staff and customers where closer contact may occur, such as our till point, and hand sanitiser will be always available at the door as you enter the shop floor. We do ask that all customers please use the sanitiser as they enter our shop, before handling any of the goods on display. Your are welcome to use the santiser as you leave too.
We also ask that our customers abide by the government guidlines and health authority advice in the use of face masks or suitabale coverings when entering our shop. Coverings not only provide some protection for yourself but also for other customers and our volunteers.
An entry limit will be in place for our shop in order to maintain social distancing. If this limit is met, you may be politely asked to wait or if you prefer, return at a later time when we are less busy. There will also be a one-way system in place on our shop floor.
While we realise that some of these measures in place may be inconvenient, we would like to thank you in advance for your patience and understanding. These measures are in place to help protect our customers, friends, volunteers and staff.
